When one is affected by something, whether it be for the simplicity, beauty or horror, or anything in between; one cannot stop and ask a curator to justify that feeling. You should just feel, experience and express.
People are not made out of concrete.
"the way to create art is to burn and destroy ordinary concepts and to substitute them with new truths that run down from the top of the head and out from the heart" - Charles Bukowski

What inspires you to be an artist?
Feelings that need to be shared. Trying to capture that something meaningful, so that you are not alone in its enjoyment or message.
Can you tell us about the inspiration for your art and what if any, the significance of location is?
Originally it was the great documentary photographers such as Paul Strand, Dorothea Lange, Max Dupain and Lewis Hine. More recently it has been an attempt to capture the play of light as much as a subject or event. Those privileged moments when you stop whatever is occupying you to simply gaze in appreciation.
What do you like most about being an artist?
Gazing in appreciation.
What is your greatest achievement as an artist to date?
To be complimented by those who have seen my efforts come to fruition and appreciate their existence.
What are your plans for the coming year?
To make those around me happy. I want them to want to be with me as much as I want to be with them.
