Adolf Tega
SOTA Selective
My brother is a sculptor and encouraged me to try my hand at sculpture too - but I found my 'voice' in painting. Everything I use in my work is a 'found' object - I go to junk yards and pick up bits and pieces that catch my eye. I also use newspaper which I sometimes burn along with the canvas to create a different texture and colour. I work mainly in mixed media exploring the textures that are created using my found objects. My artworks speak for themselves and it is up to the individual viewer to interpret what each work means and says.
