Which living artists do you most admire and why?
William Kentridge, Garth Erasmus, Willie Bester. There are creatively versatile incorporating traditional mediums as well as performance ,installation and in some cases sound in their work.
Which deceased artist do you most admire and why?
Billie Mandindi – he was uncompromising in his artists approach and a contempory of mine.
Which exhibition that you have visited made the greatest impact on you and why?
DADA south at the national gallery – nature and depth of the south African art component was exceptional.
What is the question you get asked most frequently about your work and how do you answer it?
What is the price or how do you price you work.I base my prices on art that has been sold locally and internationally according to a slide rule of my own design.
What/ who inspired you to be an artist?
Garth Erasmus.
Can you tell us about where you make your art and what if any, the significance of this location is.
A separate entrance that I grew up in as a child – its financially and logistically convenient.
