This artwork is about capturing the beauty of the Ballerina in quiet strength pose that displays the capablity of the human antanomy to push boundries. It is a source of inspiration for me that depicts dedication to an art form. The brushmarks depict movement and the wonder of dance that transcends cultures and languages, that formulates a language in itself. The loosely painted ballerina is a symbol of the flexiablity required in ballet, the colours and lines crossing each other as metaphor for joints and muscles working and breaking each other in order to rebuild stronger, a true stretching of oneself.
