Description: Ink died satin shot with a 9mm revolver. Where the bullets hit the satin a muzzle blast residue is left mimicking the patterns formed by the dye.

Motivation: The muzzle blast left behind from the shooting process leaves a delicate residue that reminded me of both flowers and star constallations. I wanted the delicate residue and imagery left behind on a usually luxurious fabric to be broken by a violent act (shooting) that results in something beautiful.
